In 1887, the Midwest was becoming more civilized and geared towards family farming. But, the new century and second industrial revolution brought men of vision seeking opportunity, even to the little, dusty town of Beatrice, Nebraska, our Company's birthplace.
Martin L. Fogel was such a man. In what was eventually to become Fogel-Anderson Construction Co., Martin and his son, Paul, opened the doors to Fogel & Son using the local post office building as their first storefront. Martin's other son, Lyle, joined them in the business in 1910 after the family relocated to Kansas City, Missouri. In 1917, the Company incorporated and began the voyage into the 21st Century.
In 1922, Oscar (O. T.) Anderson joined the company and began to assume increasing responsibility for its operation. In 1940, Lyle Fogel's son, John, entered the business that his father, uncle and O.T. had made successful during the previous two decades. Then in 1953, O.T.'s son, Ted A. Anderson, climbed on board. Later that same year is when the company became Fogel-Anderson Construction Co.
In 1997, Ted Anderson announced the promotion of his son, Phillip D. Bartolotta, to President and Chief Operating Officer. To this day, with the traditions that the company was founded on (that have only evolved with time,) Phil's proven leadership brings our clients and the "A" Team to success day after day.
Fogel-Anderson Construction Co. is a master of its trade. Through four generations of providing successful construction services, we continue to maintain our proud tradition and values. In the early days, Martin's word was his bond, and a firm handshake sealed most deals. While business practices today have changed, some things have not. Now, as then, our guiding principles remain founded on our traditions, steeped in rich history; and our word is still our bond.
