Safety Pays In Big Ways
Fogel-Anderson Construction Co. has committed valuable resources to provide a safe work environment for office staff, jobsite personnel, and the general public on and around our sites.
We believe in driving jobsite safety down to the level where it belongs: with jobsite personnel. Our Project Managers are responsible for insuring that safety program requirements are met on their specific jobs. Each and every individual on the site participates in mandatory training and weekly safety meetings. Ultimate responsibility for jobsite safety lies with the Job Superintendent who is a key member of the Fogel-Anderson safety management team. We also enlist the services of independent construction safety and quality control consultants to make regular on-site inspections.
Our efforts have paid off in a number of ways:
- We have achieved the Associated Builders and Contractors' STEP Platinum Level every year since 2001, exceeding our previous Gold Level status. STEP (Safety Training and Evaluation Process) Awards are granted to contractors who achieve effective safety practices. STEP also provides a tool for objectively evaluating safety programs, policies, procedures and training.
- We have been recognized by the Builders Association of Missouri and the Associated General Contractors of America for our efforts and results in the execution of our safety program.
- Our experience modification rate is consistently below the manual rate and contributes to lower construction costs which we are able to pass along to our project owners.
