Leader In Technology

LEED®/Sustainability Fogel-Anderson is committed to environmental stewardship of the planet’s people and resources.  Whether the client decides that they would like their project registered with GBCI (Green Building Certification Institute) to obtain LEED certification, or they only desire sustainable design in conformance with LEED standards, Fogel-Anderson has the LEED professionals, resources, and experience to deliver an environmentally friendly facility.

Building Information Modeling (BIM)BIM is the process of replacing traditional 2–dimensional drawings with 3-dimensional digital representations of the physical and functional characteristics of the design.  This produces a highly collaborative environment that may even include a scheduling component (4D) and effective estimating and cost analysis tools (5D).  Depending on the scope of your project, incorporating BIM can be beneficial.  This process can assist in constructability reviews, alleviating coordination/installation issues (clash detection), and overall communications.  If you are interested in BIM, please contact our office to find out if this service is a right fit for your project.

MEP Coordination/Commissioning –

Pre-Construction MEP - It is our goal during pre-construction MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) coordination to collaboratively work with the client and design team to meet the client’s budget, building performance requirements, and overall quality standards.  Also discussed during this will be the process of coordinating the installation of the MEP systems.  By discussing these issues upfront, the construction team will assist the designers in alleviating installation conflicts.

Construction MEP Fogel-Anderson’s pre-installation conferences are not just a quality control measure; they are the backbone of MEP coordination.   These conferences include the review of the submittals and shop drawings to ensure conformance with the contract documents.  Once a conference is complete, our Project Manager and Superintendent will continue to coordinate each delivery and installation; all the while monitoring for quality.

As the MEP systems are installed the functions of each system are documented and tested.  Any deficiencies are immediately communicated to the MEP contractors and MEP engineers and consultants for correction.  Once corrections are made the systems are re-tested.

Post-Construction MEP & Commissioning - Through post-construction MEP coordination and commissioning it is Fogel-Anderson’s ultimate responsibility to ensure that all systems are functioning properly and at their most efficient design potential.  We will provide the client with all the test and commissioning data as documented by the MEP professionals.  Also, architect approved as-built drawings, warranty and operations and maintenance manuals will be provided.  Our project staff will train client facilities personnel on all MEP systems and their functions, and how to operate and maintain these systems.  Later these documents will serve you as tools for reference and to train future employees to operate and maintain the systems.
